‘A Moment of Awakening’ was created as part of a recent exhibition ‘A Moment to last’. This is part of my newest collection of work focusing on mental health, rejuvenation and inner wellbeing. The painting depicts a dancer preparing for a big show. This is the moment before she opens her eyes and takes to the stage. For me this painting reminds me to take a step back to collect my thoughts, to prepare myself and generate an inner strength.
